Here is a tutorial on using EDIUS to down convert you 25p 1920/1080 Canon 7D and 1440/1080 50i HDV video files to a standard MPEG2 Pal 50i DVD with great quality.
The first thing you need to do is open up a 1920/1080 25p project and import your Canon raw mov's and HDV m2t files into the bin and edit away. If your computer cannot edit these files in real time, simply right clip on the files in the bin and convert to the Canopus HQ codec and away you go.
